Tones and I delivers surprise Roundhouse live show
Musician Tones and I gave an unannounced performance at the Roundhouse earlier today, in an event with almost no promotion, except on Arc’s social platforms.
With doors to the Roundhouse concert hall locked before the 12pm event, the only attendees were those that responded to an Arc PSA on Instagram, in paid partnership with Coke Studio, that a ‘global superstar’ would appear there, published to their Instagram mere hours beforehand.
The Byron Bay pop star, known for ‘Dance Monkey’, performed some of their most famous songs on Roundy’s dance-floor, reportedly for less than 100 attendees. Video on Arc’s story of the announcement shows only a few dozen watching the show.
The event was organised by Arc in collaboration with Coke Studio, a talent and booking agency owned by the Coca-Cola Company. It was not in Arc’s slated schedule of Stress-Less week events.
It is not clear how much money was made or lost (if any) by Arc as part of this initiative.
