The Ethno-Cultural and International Students Collective Grant
The Ethno-Cultural and International Students Collectives are giving a $1000 grant to 2 or more Arc cultural clubs who work together to host a joint event.

Wait…who are you again?
I’m Ethan, a 2nd year Law/Media student and your SRC Ethno-Cultural Officer for 2025. My role is to help foster a welcoming and discrimination-free campus for students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
The focus of my term on the SRC will be on tangible projects that make a visible change to the campus environment and experience. Apart from this grant, keep an eye on our Instagram page for all our upcoming initiatives and events, including a cookout later this term, and a guide for incoming international students.
Part of my vision is to help secure funding for cultural clubs and provide them with the resources they need to host great events and connect with their membership. As such, I’ve worked with Quinn Huang (International Students Officer), Diya Sengupta (SRC President) and Neil Morris (UNSW Director Student Wellbeing) to bring you the new Cultural Collaboration Grant.
What’s the Cultural Collaboration Grant?
The grant provides $1,000 for two or more cultural clubs to collaborate and host a joint event.
The grant can be used for any kind of joint event which promotes interaction and collaboration between the members of each respective club. That said, you do get bonus points if your proposed event shows off the cultures which your clubs represent.
You’ll have to provide a rough breakdown of costs and expenditures to receive the grant money.
Sounds great, how do I apply?
We’ve made the process as straightforward as possible. Just follow these simple steps!
- Find 1 or more other Arc-affiliated clubs that you wish to collaborate with.
- Come up with a plan for a joint event - ideally during Term 1.
- Please complete the application form here by 23 March. The form will ask you questions about the rationale of your event, rough logistics, and how your event will promote dialogue and diversity on campus.
- Sit back and wait for the results to be released a week later (by 30 March).
Will only one application receive the grant money?
Yes. However, there’s no limit to the number of clubs that can be part of one proposal. You could even develop an event involving every Arc club at UNSW.
Are only cultural clubs eligible to apply?
No, any Arc-affiliated club may submit and be part of a proposal. However, we do ask that at least one cultural club is included in each proposal.
