About Noise

Noise is UNSW’s only independent student paper, run entirely by and for students.

In early 2024, Noise was founded to encourage UNSW students to question and scrutinise Arc’s initiatives so that transparency and accountability may be demanded of the Arc Board and its corporate executives.

Throughout the year, our scope has expanded to include the actions of the University itself, as well as its staff and researchers. We believe that transparency and equity for all students and staff should be the core principle on which the University operates, and aim to provide high-quality, relevant reporting in the interest of UNSW's students.
